  1. http://www.nh.gov/nursing/licensure/index.html Here is the NH Board of Nursing Website, you will be able post and test information there. LNA is not a requirement at any of the schools in the surrounding areas. Doing 32 hours a week and school full time, is something you would be able to find. I am currently working 32 hours a week 3rd shift, will be going to 2nd in September and will hopefully be full time school. You will be able to find a job just look every where. As for salary, I am a new aid and I am get 10.50 plus 50 diff. since I work 3rd shift. Hope that helped you out.
  2. I work 3rd shift and I am a new aid, I am getting 10.50 plus .50 diff. I hope that helps.
  3. Do it. I was in the same position 2 years ago but now I am in school, not in a nursing program yet but I had some family issues which held me back. But I have gotten my LNA in NH and currently working as an LNA. I also got my phlebotomy cert and alot of my prereqs out of the way. If it is something that you want to do, go for it.
  4. The first one was bought with a stolen credit card, I found out when a cop at my school told me. The second was a gift from a friend it was a gift card that he had stolen from work. How was I to know this, I wasn't with them 24 hours a day. I took responsibility for what was a crime, it was proven. I was 18 when it happened I am now 29. I was stupid and young, I paid for my stupidity and now I am paying again. I am trying to get it annulled, the state of NH still offers this in some cases. Thanks for the support, I really needed it now.
  5. When I was 18 I was convicted of receiving stolen property twice. Both times I didn't know it was stolen until I was arrested. Now I had a hard time getting my license for my LNA and I just got a call saying that the home I wanted to work at will not hire me because of it. I hate myself so much for being so naive, and stupid. I wish there was something I could do but I can't seem to get it taken care of. Well just needed to vent.
  6. I have just found out that the school I am at right now will not be offering a night nursing program for the next two years. Which really stinks because I was getting ready to apply for 2010. Any ways. I have found a few other schools in the area but they don't offer an RN program only and LPN program. So what I would like to know is would it worth it for me to do the LPN program then do the rest online. I don't really know how that LPN to BSN programs work. I already have my LNA and I just want to get this figured out before I start working and getting so far in my pre-reqs that I lose my mind. I have about 4 classes left of my pre-reqs. I just can't seem to find what I am looking for as far as understanding how the LPN to BSN works and if it would worth it for me to get my LPN first or just keep looking and stick it out for my RN. Any advice you can offer I will take it I am so confused right now and I don't know if I can handle much more.
  7. Thats what I thought but do you have to take a state test or just provide proof of NH license to get a MA license? Thanks for your help
  8. Does anyone know if I can work in MA once my license from NH for LNA?
  9. I was going to until I found out that they only offer day classes. I need night class. I'm also a stay at home mom of 3 boys, so the only time I have to do classes are at night. I heard that was a great school I hope you enjoy it.
  10. hi, so i was just wandering if anyone had as insight on which school are better then others for their nursing programs. i currently attend necc only on my prerequisites. i have never had issues with necc but i am hearing that getting into the program is really hard and that i should start appling to other schools in the area. i love going to necc it's close to home and i have a degree and cert. from there already. i plan on appling for the 2010 nursing program. but if i don't get in i don't know what i am going to do. i have good greats in all my classes,(so far), but i dont' know what is going to happen when i get into chem and micro. so if anyone has any input that would be great. thanks in advance. nancy
  11. Thank you so much that really helps cause everyone is telling me I need to have A's and I know that it will be really hard to get them with my life being as busy as it is. I really want this and I had a chance a long time ago to do it but I made the choose to start a family first. Now at 28 and the mom of three I have been putting everyone else first and now it is my turn to be first so I can do something I love to do and something that will be better for my family. Thank you all once again it really help when someone who work as a nurse gives a little of their experienced input..
  12. I'm a prenursing student and having some doubt that it my be the wrong thing for me. I have dyslexia and I fear that this is going to cause a major problem within my career. Can anyone give me anything hear? Everyone around me says I can do it but I doubt it cause I have been a SAHM for 3 years, I just started classes for the first time in 5 years and I think I'm just really scared but I fear that this will hold me back. Thanks to anyone willing to help.
