I thank you for you reply to my question. I know that I would have to pay international fees, I was more wondering what medical field to go in beside nursing. Now I am wondering if I should do the DH course here, then move. My sister is also gathering information for me, which is a hugh help. There are 2 schools that sent me info already, so I would check out there school catalog and then decide.

Hello all, I live in the USA, but want to relocate to the UK mostly because my sister and brother lives there (in Northampton), and was wondering if anyone did the dental hygenist course. I chose that because I was told that most schools are not taking international students for the nursing course, but was wondering if DH/therapy is a better course to study there. And if so, are there a lot of jobs for this field? Or what other medical field beside nursing is of great demand there? Some may be wondering why do my schooling in the UK, like I said my family is there, and looking to relocate next year, so I don't think it make sense to start school here. Any type of advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the info. I really need to decide what I am going to do before August, so I can start doing my pre-reqs. I might do the DH, then go for a second AA in nursing, or I might just do the RN, or just the DH. Aaarrgghhh decisions, decisions, decisions.

Futurecnm, What i meant was do my associates to be a dental hygienist, work for a while then go for the BSN in RN which might take like what a year and a half? That way I have 2 degrees, work in 2 different settings (not at the same time), and I can decide which one I would eventually stick with. Hope that makes a little more sense :)

Hello to all, I have a similiar question. I am torn between being a dental hygienist or a RN. My take is that I would do the DH associate degree, then do the RN BSN. That way if I've decided that being an RN was not the right choice, I would have the DH to fall back on. I know that RN's have a vast route/field, but I really want to have a career, not just a job. Any input would be greatly appreciated.
