I need some help coming up with a topic for a poster board presentation that I have due this semester. It has to be a topic that was not covered in nursing school. What I've come up with is........Elder Abuse, Nurse burnout and Med Flight Nursing. Any idea would be great!! Thanks in advance! Karen

The Nursing Program at NSCC is wonderful!!! Everything from the structure, the instructors, clinical settings are just incredible. Their testing format prepared you for the NCLEX. And yes, there is always a waiting list. I was put on it. It was a blessing in disguise though. It gave me a chance to finish all my pre-requisites ahead of time which makes the program managable (even with three young children!) Good Luck!! You can't go wrong with this program. Karen

Ok, we're all human and sometimes make mistakes. I start nursing school in September and so affraid of making a mistake when it comes to patient care. Can any of you share some of the mistakes? Who knows, maybe some of us newbies (and seasoned students) will learn from them.

I have the olympus and LOVE IT!!!! I recorded A&P 1 and 2 and Micro. I would not have gotten the grades I got with out it. I would record the classmwhile taking notes and when I got home I would re-write my notes while listening to the recorder adding anything that I missed during class. Another point of re-writing my notes was they were neater and easier to study. (Try using different colored gel pens when re-writing your notes. for example I would put the definition to a word in one coler while the word itself would be another) I start the program in September and I can't wait. I've been reading so much about New Grads not being able to get jobs. I'm getting discouraged. If you've had a good experience getting your first job and got hired rather quickly, can you please post? Thanks!!

Hi, I start the nursing program at North Shore Community College in Danvers in September. I'm looking for opinions/comments and advice regarding on the program. How are the instructors? Exams? Clinicals? etc..... I'm excited to start but feel uneasy not knowing.
