Hi! Did you ever start at Jacobi? I know it is a very long hiring process. How was orientation? Was it days 9to5 or 12hr shifts? Do you like it there?

So what did you end up doing? Did you get into that fellowship program? Did you do psych or med surg? I'm in a similar predicament so...please share your experience. Thanks.

Not really. I just know a couple people enrolled that seem pleased. It is a very popular program on allnurses as well. But my pre reqs are more in line with ULL because my first BS was completed at a Louisiana University. I can always transfer if it doesn't work out of course. But I think I will give it a shot. Have you heard anything much yet from a current or past student? Can't find much.

I will be applying here too. Not much info or reviews but from what I see it looks pretty ok. Did you consider UTA? It seems like a good program too.

I'm in the same boat. I am sooo excited yet sooooooo nervous. I read some posts about students unaware that it was a major holiday and walking down the streets of nyc with flashcards studying all day everyday, everwhere they went. I am just going to clear my mind and organize everything in my life so that I have the best possible start. Keep your head up! We will make it. We made it this far! And I have some friends who went through it and although they complained the whole way, I still saw them and they were able to make time to enjoy life...a tiny bit...

I doubt it. We have not even gotten a bill yet...or have we? Confused

Hi everyone! WASHCAPS...how long does application at cayuga take? I need nutrition too. Does proof of residency form need to be sent with registration form? what about transcripts? necessary for taking one class? Thanks!

HI EVERYONE... Im just wondering how many spots are left but I'm waiting for a call too. Previous post said to expect the worst at this point but I'm still optimistic and hopeful that I will at least get an interview. Does anyone know how many completed apps they have? I know all 1,000 didn't complete everything. Well, let's just all keep each other posted. Anyone get a phone call or update? And...congratulations to everyone who finished the app process! We all have hope still. Hang in there people! :)

Does anyone have recommendations for the best schools to take pre req courses in the city? I am looking for a school that is not too hard and I dont mind traveling a bit. I live down town. Thanks...any advice would be wonderful!

Thanks for the advice. I have checked it out (Hunters program) but wondering if I can raise my gpa if I do very well in the pre req courses. That will help right?

Hello! I'm new here. I have a worse gpa, 2.75 in my BS degree as well and my program was also very difficult. I want more than anything to become a nurse and have been researching and live in the city. I found a couple of programs that require only a 2.8 I will have to find my list...Hunter College but not sure if it's accelerated or not. Anyway, well my plan is to take the pre reqs and do very well then try to get into a school as accelerated BSN student. I don't understand the NYU student second degree plan lilkaymin is suggesting. What is your second degree major at NYU and what type of gpa in needed for NYU (lilkaymin)??? Well Im determined to find a way even if it takes a couple years so Ill let you know what happens and keep us posted too! Good luck!!!
