My friend is interested in transferring to CSN. Anyone familiar with the process?
My friend is in nursing school at Pensacola Junior College. She is from New Orleans and would like to come back. I know that charity accepts transfer students because I met a girl that was getting a tour by one of the instructors one day. Is anyone familiar with how one goes about transferring to Charity?

What is the schedule like for clinicals w/ NAC I? I am scheduled to drive to St. Tammany Parish Hospital, but live in New orleans. How much time should I plan on being at the hospital during NAC I, including picking up assignments and actual clinical time etc.?

How do I find info on CNA work?
I am a 30 yr old dad in LA and I have a plan on how to pay for nursing school tuition and my kid's private school. I am nervous that I am starting a career change and have no experience in a hospital setting. I would like any information on becoming a CNA to gain confidence and make some extra scratch.

OLOL Program Questions (for us newbies)
I have read about WIA but am not sure of exactly what it is. There was no mention of it at the informational meeting for OLOL. Is it some sort of financial assistance for tuition? Also, can any of the past/current OLOL students give us details about the program. I am working a full time job with plans to stop before school starts. Do we learn dosage calculations and medical math during the program or are we expected to have this knowledge beforehand?

My friend needs help!
My friend is a brilliant prenursing student at Delgado. She has fantastic grades but panics each time she faces the thought of one standardized test that decides her entire future. She tests extremely poorly and keeps waiting for Delgado to admit her into nursing school. During her wait, she attended OLOL and, after applying to the nursing program, was told that they recieved her application fee but somehow did not recieve her application. She is starting to lose hope. I am urging her to consider using her associate credits towards a four year institution. I need to know if she would face an another multi subject test such as the one at Delgado or any other obstacles. Someone who has always wanted to be a nurse and has the intelligence to make the grades in school deserves a chance. Does anyone have any other suggestions?

Anyone else worried???
I'm also waiting to find out about CSN admission for spring '08. I am a little worried about not having enough money saved up. Have you all heard of anyone who actually pushed their start date to the next semester if they couldn't begin at the time they actually applied for?

Accelerated OLOL--essay question
I am applying to the accelerated OLOL program and have no health or medical experience. Should I come right out and state that in my essay or will it haunt me later in my interview?
