Heyy. I'm a new grad and I am going for a job interview at CHOP soon. I am interviewing for two floors, the CCU and the PCU (progressive care unit). I was wondering if anyone knows anything about these floors. Which do you think is a better environment for a new nurse? I mean I don't want to count my eggs before they hatch, but I would really appreciate some input. Also, as far as having connections, I talked to some professors at my school about getting contacts for a person to shadow there. They gave me the name and number of a person and after shadowing her for a day, she talked to HR for me about getting me an interview. It can't hurt to try doing something similar if you really want to work there.
