  1. I work for a Ca. Inst. and the starting pay for RN's is 7045 a month. The pay increases every year until the 5th year. We have pretty benefits too. Not all California Inst. are the same pay scale some are even more. There is never a lack for overtime so I usually range almost 10,000 a month. Beat's the pay in the ICU and less stress.
  2. A HUGE issue occured today with treating staff (custody). Do you start an IV and push pain med's for an injured staff? Or do you do the BLS and call for an ambulance? What is your protocol?
  3. Hi Nurses, I am an RN Starting at a correctional facility on Monday. Are there any more tests that I wll be taking? What should I expect for the first few weeks? Let me know. Thanks
