  1. Thanks....I am just starting to get so discouraged. Everytime I see a job offer it is of course always for an RN. I live in Northwest Indiana and it seems like none of the hospitals here want LPN'S. Or of course they want experience but how can you get experience if nobody will give you a chance.
  2. Hi everyone! I'm in my last PN class now and I was wondering if someone can clarify some things for me. First of all is it okay to start looking for jobs even though I haven't taken NCLEX yet? I know that me and my classmates are in the dark about his and I thought someone could help. And second is it almost impossible to find a job outside of a nursing home for an LPN. I really wanna work in a hospital or urgent care center and I just wanted to know is that realistic. Thanks a lot!:balloons:
  3. Me and you are in the same boat I live in nw indiana also and want both In and Ill license. My teacher told me earlier this week that she would advise me to take indiana first since I would be working in Ind. Then, after 6 months I could just pay a fee to get ILL no extra tests. Hopefully this is right cause I graduate in 3 months.

I am currently a nursing student (LPN) I really am dying to work in OB. My question is in previous experiences does the OB unit hire LPN's to work?
