  1. Picked up a watch at Walmart for $29. It has a second hand, military time, date, and is indiglo. It's a Timex Expedition. I looked everywhere and didn't want to spend $400- on a swiss army.
  2. peesh- I just found the official dress code document and it says the following regarding shoes: - Uniform style shoes and laces must be clean and white with low heels. No clogs or sandals.
  3. thanks for info. I really appreciate it. So it is worth it to buy Danskos now. I was thinking of just getting some walking shoes. Have Danskos really made a difference for you? How long are your clinicals? Two 8 hour? Have you heard of any changes they may implement? Like changing clinical to one 12hr?
  4. Hello, I will be starting block 1 at Chandler Gilbert in the fall. I am starting to purchase supplies and I was wondering if there are any restictions on the type of shoes you can wear to clinicals? I was just thinking of buying a pair of nikes or something similar and I was wondering if there were any restrictions on color or markings? Thanks!:)
  5. I've heard about the changes too. I was actually placed at Rio and was suppose to start block 1 this summer. But since all the changes they have cancelled the program until things are straightened out. I have been offered placement elsewhere. I did wonder about the students who were already in the program. Good luck, I hope it works out for you.
  6. Thanks to all of you. You have provided a lot of great information. I'm sure I'll be asking more questions down the road! Thanks again!
  7. I have a few q's for you experienced students. Where should I buy scrubs? How many sets did you buy? Did you buy the scrubs jacket? Do you wear your scrubs to class or just to clinicals? Do I need to buy my own stethoscope? If so, which one is good? PDA?? I'm more than willing to buy one if it is really helpful. If you have one, which one do you have? I've heard a roller backpack is good. What do you think? What else am I forgetting??? Thanks for any answers. :)
  8. What's a better deal? I just got my book list and was wondering where most of you buy your books. thanks!!
  9. peeesh, thanks for the info. I finally reached someone over at CG and they said the packets would be mailed out at the end of April. And the info for students to come in to register would be included.
  10. thanks! I'll try calling again tomorrow. Hopefully I can get someone on the phone. Did your packet include your class schedule as well? Thanks again!
  11. I've heard once you've been placed in a program that you will recieve an orientation package with all the information you need. Do you know when they usually send those out? I've been placed at Chandler-Gilbert and have not received anything. The contact person has a full voice mail box so I can't leave a message. Thanks for any information you can provide.
  12. Can any CG nursing student please tell me about your program! I would really appreciate any insight you can provide. Feel free to send me a private message if you prefer. Thanks in advance to anyone who is willing to help!
  13. I've heard some things about certain programs being unorganized and students saying they have not had good experiences. I was wondering if anyone would be willing to share negative or positive experiences about their programs to give an idea of which schools have students that are satisfied with their program. Thank you
