  1. it's a seminar review course that costs $300, it has online info, etc. they have a wesite, google it. i was just curious if anyone thought it was helpful for the NCLEX. sounds like it may be worth while.i heard they teach you how to breakdown and answer questions.
  2. i am on a med-surg unit. precepting was ony 5 weeks. i am the type of person that likes to be told what to do until i grasp what's really going on. i still feel like some days are under control and others days were hectic.
  3. what is your opinion about new grads with no experience working on specialized units such as labor and delivery, or the icu?
  4. i have enjoyed idaho, beutiful country. the weather is very unpredictable. if you like it cold then you will like it here. i would suggest a visit to see if you like the folks around here. heard the hospital was pretty good? not sure?
  5. i'm precepting right now and i have a question. What is the average nurse patient ratio where you are? do you feel that it is too high? What is being done to lower it? i have had up to 5 patients and i feel that i am not able to do all that i would like to for each patient. the load feels very overwhelming. any prioritization suggestions and help with organizing my day.
  6. i am an older student nurse, and school has had many challenges with family life. i feel like it was a struggle just to get to this point, and now the NCLEX are approaching. I feel so very unprepared. What is the best way to study? Does anyone have feedback on the HURST review? help? suggestions?
