Poll for those who have already taken NCLEX..
1. how many questions did you take on nclex? 75 2. what study materials did you use? did you take a test review course? nclex 3500, lippincott, saunder's highly recommend for content, kaplan also highly recommend questions are much more harder it make you think like nclex 3. did your son offer any testing (eri, ati, hesi)? hesi 4. how long did you wait for results of the test, or are you still waiting? i took it march 22 fortunately ny does quick result... 5. what were your thoughts coming out of the test (total disbelief, certainty you had failed, confident you had passed)? hoping that i will stopped at 75 coz i bunch of people in my class their computer shuts off at 75 & passed but then when i got out i really felt that i felt for me the most hardest question i've taken in my life half of it are priorities meds that haven't heard of in my life few pscy question. they said if you stopped at 75 either you really did good and above the level competency or worst below their level. so i was freaking out.didnt get to eat or sleep 6. was this your first attempt at nclex? yes..thank god!

How many pages/day of Saunders do you go through?
Just do a lot of practice questions at least 5000 it will really help especially the rationale the more you do it you'll get used to different type of question and learn technique with how you think and pick the right answer. then do Saunders and review their book a week before the test. Don't worry you'll make it the second time trust me if you really put time and effort with your studying if will pay off in the end. GOOD LUCK

How many pages/day of Saunders do you go through?
You really have to be diligent...didn't have a life mos 2 mos. I didn't bother using review books to review what i used is all their CD. at least every wk i answer diff. cd program. one wk i answer NCLEX 3500 comprehensive. Then second wk Lippincott, Then 3rd wk Saunders. Then a week before I took the test I did Kaplan which I highly recommend. While answering all the question just take note whatever diseases that you missed or don't have a clue go look it up in your textbook to get familiar. I'm telling do a lot of Pracetice question so that you'll get used to it.

My dilemma with 75Q
Hi Carolyn, I know how u feel. When I took the test I was hoping I get more calculations coz its my strenght but i end up with just one calculation in turn i have several priority questions which I dreaded the most coz thats my weakness when I do practice question. I don't know the odds of passing the 75 are? When I got out of the testing center I felt that Im a complete idiot.feeling I'm doomed to fail. But hoping against hope that we all passed. If not you know doesnt mean we are failure maybe its not time for us yet.We will try and try again....Good LUCK...MY PRAYERS FOR U TO. Thanks!

My dilemma with 75Q
I am really stressed I can hardly eat or move debating if I passed/failed. The only time I could have the courage to get up is checking Pearson.Thank God I found this forum to share the same dilemma as I have with the computer shuting off at 75Q to other future nurses . Definitely, this is the hardest exam i ever taken in my life my questions mainly consist of bunch of priorities/some meds that I haven't really heard of in my life and four multiple-multiples. The agony of waiting is like your waiting for a bomb to drop but hoping your not the target. The best thing is my parents & sibling have been lifting my spirits up that in case I do fail i can take it again and again. But, you know the worst thing I really want to be nurse but reaching there is really a tough road for me. What do u think if my exam shuts off @ 75 while indeed I read other people thread about 75Q some says that they know alot of people that passed but there seem a small percentage that failed maybe im one of them. I als have friends that went to 75 and they all passed. Please help me............
