Hi everyone! :) I'm a perioperative nurse currently training in one of the tertiary hospitals in the Philippines. I was tasked to do research one Robotic Surgery. I've been looking for resources over the internet and found quite some interesting stuff about it. Anyway, I went here to inquire various ideas from you guys. What do you think about Robotic Surgery? What would be the nurse's role and responsibilities in this type of surgery? Have you encountered this in your nursing practice? If yes, how has it affected your nursing practice? Any other additional information from you guys would be great. :) All these information will added into my research paper. :) And it would be great if you could post your location (state/country only, not exact address) But if you are willing enough to post the name of the institution who has it then that will be fine too. CRNE is the Canadian Nurses Association Examination right? I haven't yet taken anything since I'm just a new graduate and a new nurse here in the Philippines.

Don't quit. You've been there for just quite a while. When I was still a student, I'm quite afraid to move around the ICU in my first week. But after that, I just accepted the fact that I am at the ICU and I have a job to do. And I got thru that week. It was a bit hard to tell you the truth XD Not the department that I wanna work in but I had fun.

I just passed the Nursing Licensure Exam and I'm not quite sure with what to do next after registering for a professional license. My family has applied for immigration to Canada for 5 years now. What would be the requirements needed for me to be able to practice nursing in Canada's hospitals?

So... That means 7.21 hours of direct patient care? @_@ Correct me if I'm wrong

Hello! I'm a nursing student I was tasked to make a lecture about staffing and I ended up on this FTE and NHPPD thing during my research. I kinda need help on how to solve these things because I don't understand what my resource books says. @__@ D:

There was this one time when we were exposed in the ER. A patient came in who had a complaint of nausea and vomiting. She kept on vomiting and could barely stand so we placed her on a strecher. Her friend who was with her told us "I never thought eggs could cause high blood! Her blood pressure was 180/100!!" @_@ We students so wanted to laugh xD

Yeah a PG-13 Comedy sounds good. Problem now is that sometimes the residents (patients) of the institution would complain if they have already seen the movie.. :-( Have to be careful in choosing D:

Hello! I'm a nursing student and I was wondering if you guys could recommend movies for psychiatric patients to see. One of the institutions that we have our duty in has asked us to do a film viewing. And apparently the movies I have at home are almost all about action, fantasy and cartoons which is a big no no no in psychia. So.. Uh. Can you guys suggest some movies?

We're about to handle psychiatric patients with different diagnosis. I was kinda like tasked to bring the music for these patients. Apparently, the activities planned out by our instructors were these. Acquiantance Party Sportsfest Art Therapy Music and Dance Therapy Anyone have any suggestions of songs for psychiatric patients? @_@
