  1. I lost my parents recently and both were buried in Alabama. Neither was embalmed due to their personal choice. The funeral director acted like I was committing a crime when I requested they not be embalmed. I'm sure it was due to the fact his astronomical fees were being cut into. In my opinion, funeral directors are the lowest creatures on earth. :angryfire They're nothing more than wolves in sheeps clothing, and exploit you in your greatest grief. 2. Thanks for your input. I think I will stay away from Grady. I'm not a glutton for punishment.:chuckle
  3. I can't quote you any figures on pay, but its more than most places in the SE. I'm a native Atlantan so naturally I think it is a wonderful place to live. I don't find the cost of living to be anymore expensive than any other large city, and there's so much opportunity here. I live in a very nice, large 1Bdr., 1 ba highrise condo in Buckhead, and the rent is $850 per month, including ALL utilities. We are right in the heart of everything....theaters, clubs, shopping....you name it. One thing I wouldn't recommend is working at ANY of the hospitals downtown. All are located in undesirable and dangerous areas. The best and safest hospitals are Emory, Piedmont , Northside, and St. Josephs Hospitals. I've heard there are excellent hospitals in the surburbs, but I am just not familiar with any of them. If you have anymore questions, please feel free to ask, and I will help if I can.
  4. I'm considering geriatric psych. Have you heard anything about that unit?
  5. Have any of you ever worked for Baptist Princeton? If so, what were the working conditions like? Thanks!
  6. Does anyone on the board work at Grady? If so, what are the working conditions like, and do you have an Inpatient psych unit? Thanks!:)
