hi, if u want to work in europe and u have cgfns cert this doesn't give u an "employment points". my friend took only the ielts as required in one state of europe and only completed other requirements needed by that state but not cgfns. as what lawrence01 said it is only a requirement if u go to the USA. try to locate a state in europe where u wanted to work then look for their reqts. hope this helps

hi everyone, i just want to solicit ur suggestions or the things u have done including the expenses u've made in taking the nclex exam in hongkong, taiwan and saipan. i heard that there is US$150 + VAT in taking the exam internationally(hongkong,taiwan) but if w/n US territory there is no fee. i just wanted to know so that i may have an idea how much do i have to prepare bec i'm the one shouldering all the expenses. thank you everybody in advance.

hi suzzane, i've read that according to cgfns " they have instituted a no refund policy for its CP, CES, CVS. individual consideration will be given on a case to case basis if refund is necessary due to cgfns error". this is what i read from their site. but can u pls give me an idea if i can ask them to cancel my cp exam and register for the CES instead? have u encounter like this? can i email the cgfns for the cancellation? pls help me....i know that i can save time and effort w/ this idea...pls help:idea:

hi suzzane, i got rostered today march 2 for july11 exam but it is march 1 in the usa. what do u mean i got 10 weeks, from the date of my exam? so it is possible that i can request the CES from the CGFNS w/o an extra cost? how will i know that i can already file for nclex exam, will the illinois Prof Regulation inform me?

hi suzzane and anna, thanks so much, u have given me a lot of info. i would like to work in chicago, i know that cgfns is no longer required since oct 2005 and i have known abt this last month, though i'm already rostered in cgfns i'll just go on w/ the exam and take nclex afterwards. would you suggest me to go to an agency or apply nclex by myself? if i wanted to be licensed in chicago, is it possible that i'll apply in vermont? how will i go about licensure in chicago? Thanks a lot and more power!

hi there if u want the # of PHC, here it is 9252401-07 then try to connect to dne where u can inquire abt their training programs. they offer a lot and its very helpful since these are the things u can see or expected in the actual settings. hope this info helps! gud luck

hi mimi, being an OR nurse is quite challenging especially when ur in cardio-thoracic surgeries. yes u may not have a patient contact bec they are sedated. once ur already a perioperative nurse that is the time that u can have contact w/ ur pt and u can appreciate ur contrbution to the progress of their health. u will be able to track down their progress from pre-op to post-op care. ur clinical capabilities and skills goes with it bec if u don't have the right armour then surgery won't be successful. whatever field u choose is up to u, what's impt is ur happy of what ur doing. :wink2:
