  1. Luv2shop, I am just wondering why you were discouraged speaking with the 2 companies you did? Would you mind sharing?
  2. I am not sure if I was clear, but was replying to Doug. Hope I didn't confuse the thread.
  3. I LOVE travel nursing, so I really hate to hear of experiences like someone not being paid properly for OT. What company are you with? They deserve to be outed! Finish your assignment, get your money from them, and then file a wage claim. You are entitled to 1.5 no matter what you signed.
  4. Hi Matt, As Stayseeer wrote you, any reputable agency should NOT dock you for a cancelled shift! Some agencies still guarantee hours! I would look for another company (my 2 cents) that guarantees hours.
  5. Hello, please don't let some bad experiences, and believe me, we have all had them, dissuade you from trying traveling. The various experiences whether it be new places or new people is very rewarding. Good luck!
  6. My understanding is that decisions by the BON are case by case. You probably can't walk thru a State though.
  7. If the travel company is not straight forward with the rate, I wouldn't deal with them. Example, "make $50 an hour", but they fail to mention that housing and travel comes out of that if you want it. The first test of a good company is how straight forward they are with the rate. Sometimes takes a lot of research, but worth doing. Good luck.
  8. Hello Alkaleidi, Did your travel Company supply housing also?
