I just accepted a position in MICU working nights after working on a general medical floor for a year . Although I'm excited and looking forward to the challenge, I'm scared also :uhoh21: . Could you please share some advice or words of encouragement for someone who is starting in this field? Thank you much!

Took NCLEX last year on Jun 30, found out Jul 3. Kept calling the BON 800 number. It was there faster than the website. Oh and no, NC isn't a state where you can call for results. Hope this helps.

Just wanted opinions on what you consider a reasonable time frame to return to nursing after a lap chole? Surgery was Nov 6 w/o complications, returned on the 24th to the floor w/ light duty. Thanks

Hey Natalie It happened to me also and I'm in NC. I had them redone and sent them in. It did not affect me receiving my ATT or taking NCLEX. When I went to test, I had my prints read 3 times (procedure). I passed and have had no issues. Hopefully thing will go as smooth. Marlo RN

Hi guys Just wanted to know if everyone is having a pinning ceremony. For some reason our school does not do it anymore due to students not showing up for the graduation ceremony. If we chose to have one, we have to do it amongst ourselves with no instructors or faculty there. We were told they were not to have anything to do with this. Considering what we all went through to graduate, you would think this is something they would have. Although it is too late for our class to change this, I've told the up coming class that they need to petition the school about this. From what I hear, it's a "sacred" event. Anyone ever attend one?
