plum94 are you in the NJ/NY area? I'm thinking about oncology, but I was worried about the emotional strain. Now I know outpatient onc is something to look into.

I am about to graduate nursing school with my BSN in May and I don't know where to work. I was wondering if anyone had any feedback about hospitals in the NYC/Northern New Jersey area. I have no idea where to go. I was thinking about Memorial Sloan in the city, but it's salary pay. NYU is too and I hear that salary is not the best way to go for a staff nurse position. Can anyone suggest hospitals with good nurse to patient ratios and good salaries for me to look into? General good places to work? All the hospitals brag and say they're the best, but I want to know from the nurses.
