Thanks for the advice I really appreciate it. Thanks for the kick in the a** maybe I just needed that. How do you know that the LVN program is harder than the RN? Have you tried it or maybe know someone who's in the RN program?

I knew I wanted to be working in the medical field because I love to help others. I completed all my nursing pre req. classes at a community college hopeing to get into the RN program and become a nurse. But, I was kind of struggling in Physio class and eventually passed it after 2 tries with a C+. Now, I'm doubting myself if I can make it. So, I opted to take a basic entrance test to see if I can get into the LVN program (which I was able to pass after my second try). I thought to myself, "Hey, it's not an RN so It might be easier and less stressful?" Doubting myself again and thinking that I'm not going to pass LVN school, I found another program in Santa Clara, California called Institute for Business Technology and they have a Lab Assist/EKG/Phlebotomist program. It still sounds scary but, I think I can handle it. please, any inputs from ANYONE or (RN's, LVN's or Lab. Assist/EKG Tech./ Phlebotomists?)

I passed all my pre requisite classes for becoming a nurse. Now, I don't know what I should get into, the LVN program or the RN program? If I get into the LVN program it's going to cost me $27,000 which is a lot of money! I am afraid that since I am a slow learner, I wonder if I can keep up with the fast pace of the class (either the LVN or RN program)? Any suggestions or personal experiences on how it was being a nursing student? I also found a Laboratory Assistant/Ekg Technician/Phlebotomists program (3 in 1) for $14,000. Am I qualified to be a Laboratory Assistant already and not know it? I was searching for jobs for a Lab. Assist. and this is what it said: Required Experience: We prefer previous laboratory experience with good organizational skills. Good organizational skills and effective communication skills with strong computer ability essential for success. Good oral/written communication skills required. Required Education: HS diploma; College preferred with a biology or scientific emphasis. Also, what does "per diem" mean? PLEASE HELP!!! thx!
