healthcare experience
Hi There! I am taking prerequisites for nursing school, so that I can finally pursue my dream of becoming an RN. My only real world experience is working as a speech therapist in a public school. I am planning on working as a CNA in a hospital after completing my training at Clarkson, but I am wondering if this is sufficient experience for applying to nursing schools in the Omaha area (I plan on applying to every program in Omaha & Council Bluffs region), or if it would be worth my time to also volunteer. My GPA from my former degree is not bad(3.4), and have a 4.0 at metro, so I think my chances are decent that I will get in to one. I'm worried I may be getting over my head by working as a CNA, taking prerequisites, and volunteering, but I really want to increase my chances if at all possible. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated! Also, does anyone know about the competitiveness of schools in the Omaha area?

Any one from rural AZ
i lived in northern AZ and worked on the reservation for 9 months. it is the biggest dump on earth, if you are at all considering moving here, DON'T. the only tolerable place in the whole state is prescott, payson, or scottsdale. i am not high maintanence at all, but people assumed i was rediculously wealthy because i had gas and electric.

boise state
Has anyone recently applied to the Boise State program? My fiance and I are planning on moving to the Boise area, from the Navajo reservation in Arizona. I was wondering how competitive it is. I have a prior bachelor's degree (which i completed only to get into a 2nd degree program when I was denied admission to a BSN program in Colorado) I also have an "A" in all my support courses, and a high overall GPA. I am also considering going to Apollo for my LPN. Would that increase my chances, or is it just as competitive that route? Just wanted some insight. The poo we go through to become nurses!
