I struggled with medication when I prepared NCLEX. I used Kaplan book. In the back of the Kaplan book, there is a section just for medication. I think memorization and practicing are the ways to study the meds. When I took the NCLEX, I got many many meds questions (even herbs), but I saw them somewhere in Kaplan and its Q-bank or Sandure's CD. Talking about Kaplan, use their Q-bank (about $300, you don't have to sign on the class), it is very helpful. Good luck to you. :blushkiss

I took HESI right before the final. Guess what, I did terrible (only above 7% of overall nursing students nation wild). But, I pass the NCLEX. Do you need to pass HESI in order to graduate? I think you will be fine.

You will never know if you pass or fail until you get your result. All you can do are praying hard and B-R-E-A-T-H.:barf01:Stay positive!!

Like many others mentioned before, do as many questions as you can. Use different books to practice. But, no matter how many questions you practiced, when you take NCLEX, you still will felt clueless simply because you could be tested on anything (which is impossible for one person to remember them all in a very short period of time). I used Sandure's CDs (Blue book and Q&R green book), NCLEX-RN made incredible easy CD, I also used Kaplan Q-bank for the week before the test. If you do that, you will recognize almost disease and medication on NCLEX. You have to have a basic knowledge to choose (or guess) the correct answer. Good Luck!!! You can do it. :smilecoffeecup:

Took NCLEX yesterday morning. 75 questions and felt like a complete looser. Many many knowledge based med/surg questions, plus 6-7 meds (even one herb question), tons of infection control and priority/delegation, 4-5 select all, 2 meds calculation questions. When I walked out of the test center, I felt I might pass. But longer the waiter, more I thought I failed, I even started to prepare for retake the test:trout:. It was a sleepless and depress night for me. But this morning, I found from BON that I passed!!!!!!:monkeydance: YEAH.....

i took the test today too. The computer shut off at 75 and I had no idea how I did. My questions seemed not hard, but I JUST HAD NO CLUE. Many med/surg, infection control, medication and priority question, three or four select-all, two calculation questions, I even get herb medication question. I tried to stay positive, but at the same time, I want to scream. :imbar

There was someone had last question wrong but still pass the test. Until you recieve your final result, you will never really know what is going on. Stay positive. Pray for you.

I just graduate from nursing school and found a job in a hospital even before I graduate. All MN hospital pay new graduates who without any experiences $25 per hour, if you work at straight evening or nights, there will be variable pay. About how easy to find a job, I will say it is not that hard. At least, most of my classmates found job before graduate. Another suggestion, finding a nursing assistant job in a hospital, it helps a lot.

Blindfolder and set of darts?? It is really funny:chuckle:rollI am going to take the NCLEX on 19th. I practice all day long, but how come I still fell not ready and sometimes even clueless??? I don't know if anyone experience the same.
