Hey RN37 Thanks for the info, I have emailed the Dubai centre for special needs but not heard back from them yet? Considering phoning them tomorrow. From what you have said you do not seem keen on nursing in Dubai, is this just your place of work or everywhere.

thanks flyinghigh I have found a couple of services for children with specail needs in the dubai area in particular one which provides 24 hour nursing care. I have sent emails for information and employment enquiries. Will keep you informed of my progress

thanks, I'll need to do more researching. Does anyone know if Dubai has a governing nursing body that i could contact? Similar to the NMC in the UK

Look forward to hearnig more info. Do you know if there are Learning disability nurses in dubai or developmental delay nurses? Don't know which term is used. Really struggling to find out what services are available for children with special needs. ie respite services etc.

Hey there I totally agree with everything you have just written, i am learning disabilities nurse working in Scotland with children with profound and complex health needs. I too have incountered these problems. It is sad to hear that it is happening at the other side of the world too.
