  1. Hi! My husband and I am Dialysis trained nurses from Germany and since 6 month in Sydney. We love to life here, but the Dialysis unit is bad. So maybe someone can recomend another unit, in NSW or VIC? We both are high motivated and my husband could do a NUM or a CNC or CNE Job. Thanks for your resonse! Anke
  2. Hi all, me and my wife we are two nurses from Germany with the intention to immigrate to Australia. We both have now 20 years of work experience in Germany and want to immigrate this year because next year in January our son has to go to preschool and it would be helpful if he is becoming now familiar with the language. We've passed both the IELTS with 7.5 in October 2006, so our application for a visa must be done until October 2007. In January 2007 we applied for registration at the Nurse Board of Victoria, they told me the whole process last at a maximum of 21 days. Until today we've sent them really a lot of documents but our registration process is not finished yet, because our documents are standing in queue. In March we've been on holidays in VIC and NSW , we 've had our documents with us and we thought it would be a good idea to apply for registration in NSW too so we can do the mutual recognition. Now they paperwork is done but the Nurses and Midwives Board of NSW told me that my registration process there could last up to half a year(from now on...). And in the end it is possible that they want me to do a bridging course of 7 weeks so my German exam would be recognised. Now we've heard that the regsitration process in WA is easier, and we're thinking about to making there our third (!) application for the registration as a overseas nurse. Does anyone think this is a really good idea ? Or do you think it's the best to w a i t ... ? Thanks for your help ! Narell
  3. Dear Christine! Thanks for your response and your help about the IELTS. Fortunately we recieved the nesessary 7,5 point in October last year, but it was very hard for us as parents to learn for this so we don't want to do this again! Now we go to look for a job in Melbourne in two weeks and maybe we can find an employer who want to sponsor us in the beginning with the ENS. Love Anke
  4. Dear Gwenith! Thanks for your response. I know that we have to convert our non-permanent into a permanent visa. Do you know which Visa number those choose who converted her visa? Thanks, Anke
  5. Hello! My husband and I are German nurses and we are planning our immigration to Australia.:roll In some weeks we go to make holidays in DU and look for a job in a dialysis unit, because we both have a further education in renal care. It seems to be very easy to find a job, instead of that we have now 7 appointments when we visit Melbourne. Now is our question, if we get a sponored visa (457) then we can settle fast and that will be great! But the disadvantage is that we have then only a non- permanent visa and we want to stay there! Can you tell us, which visa we can choose when are immigrated in Australia and our employer give us a permanent contract. I search in the DIMA web site but I can't find anything about it. A friend of mine tells us that she get the 855 visa but I can't find this, too! Please help us, because we want to have a look on the conditions, for example if we need to pass the IELTS again, or how the age limit is, maybe 45?, too?! Thanks for your response, and sorry for my bad English:sofahider (I'm in work on this) Love Anke
  6. Hi, we're two nurses from Germany and are planning our migration to Australia/Victoria. For this reason we need to be registered at the Nurses Board of Victoria (NBV). On the application form for the registration of overseas nurses they say that only a public notary, or a judge, or a person from Australian Embassy is allowed to make certified copies of original documents. Has anyone experience with certified copies by the city council or a priest's secretary ? Is this accepted by the NBV ? Thanks for your help! Narell
