I posted the webinar PP on the Facebook group page.

I had my welcome call this week. My program adviser talked about paying for tuition, asked if I was familiar with Blackboard, whether or not I had a time management plan, and spoke briefly about what to expect for upcoming classes this fall. She did mention that pathophysiology is particularly demanding. The webinar was not incredibly informative. I have a link they sent which includes all of the PowerPoint slides. I'll try and dig up the email and post the link.

About a month to go before fall classes begin.

I was told it could take up to 12 weeks to hear from admissions, but I received an acceptance email 5 weeks after I submitted all of the required materials.

I'm in NH. I have a couple of NP's that have agreed to take me on. One graduated from an online program so she sympathizes with trying to find good preceptors without help from the university. I have heard from others that it is becoming increasingly difficult to secure clinical placements in the area. We'll see how it goes, I guess!

My manager has been encouraging me to look into derm. Funny, because she is a career OR nurse. I thought she would have steered me more in that direction, but she's really promoted keeping an open mind. I'm excited to be exposed to areas I might not have considered otherwise.

I work in the OR. I would like to first assist. How about you?

Yeah, unfortunately I don't have a choice. I have to stay as close to 40 hrs/week as possible for insurance purposes. I work four 10's, so I always have a day off during the week to devote to clinicals. My manager is extremely supportive of continuing education and has said that she is willing to be flexible with my schedule to make it all work.

Congrats! I'm anxious to get started. A recent grad works within my organization and has had great things to say about the program.

Anyone beginning UC's online FNP program for the Fall '12 term? I'm looking to network/share information with fellow classmates. -Jay

I want admission into this program so badly it is making me ill.

To the members of my clinical group: Thank you for your cooperation, encouragement, solidarity, and sense of humor. You made the 0400 carpool trips tolerable (even enjoyable at times). You praised my achievements and lamented my failures, never judged me, and were always quick with a kind word when needed. I am a better person having shared this experience with you. Your knowledge, compassion and work-ethic will serve you all well in the future.

I had questions relating to resistance across different types of circuits, force, and friction appear on the NLN exam I took. If I remember correctly, there were roughly ten physics related questions in all, but every test is different.

I'll be taking Micro and Psych over 7 weeks. If I survive the summer I'll have cleared all my pre-wrecks and have a couple of weeks to decompress before I enter my program in the fall.
