Nursing student: Job offer starting same day as required NCLEX review
I like to emphasize the ass part cause that is what I would be if I threw away nursing school by not taking boards.

Nursing student: Job offer starting same day as required NCLEX review
I havent asked any more questions. Its all figured out. Here is the deal...if someone doesnt have an answer or suggestion then just leave the post alone. As far as ppl telling me that i have to meet requirements or i wont be cleared to take boards...that is obvious and assinine. Also i was being told that when i get my RN after passing boards...that too is obvious. If you are hired for a job before you take boards your title is GN-graduate nuse. After you pass boards you are an RN. I dont know why anyone is arguing that fact. Not saying it was you. Im done and i did get a few good suggestions...for the most part ppl were saying you have to do your requirements or you will have wasted nsg school cause you didnt take boards. Never had any intention of that. Its all good. I talked to recruiter and dean and they are working it out but it wasnt simple by any means. I would delete all this nonsense if i could

Mrs Boots Can I ask the job if orientation can be a little flexible for 1 week? Or do some of the orientation on the off shift? Or do some of the hospital orientation at home...the paperwork parts?

Good point about the reference aspect. I scored very high on HESI so will most likely pass NCLEX but of course you never know. I will definitely finish school requirements. I don't understand why the review course and HESI is a month after we graduate though.

Mrs Boots We don't all understand what I want because someone said they were confused. It's not very simple at all. The review class is 4 days. If I could get out of even one of the days of review I could tell my potential employer that and maybe they can work with me. Of course I have to do everything to sit for NCLEX that is a no-brainer. Hopefully the potential employer will understand this and help me out. You say my only choice is to go to the review course and then in the next statement you say maybe my school will make an exception. I realize I won't get a positive answer on here....that would be silly to think. Glad you get that this is my dream job and OBVIOUSLY if I don't qualify for NCLEX I would lose the job. You are stating the obvious And contradicting yourself. Thanks but no thanks. Also thought that maybe I might be able to miss the review and take HESI on the last day since I did get the top score in my class on the HESI that I already took.

Here in the state of Michigan you are hired as a graduate nurse (meaning you didn't take your boards yet) once you pass your boards you stay in the position you were hired for but now you are legally an RN. Of course I know I have to fulfill and complete the requirements so that I can sit and take my boards. Problem is this job starts the same week as the NCLEX review and practice Hesi. I was hoping I could work something out so I didn't have to turn down this job. Especially since I have already taken Hesi and scored highest in my class.

i am quite sure I will be offered the job. I will not get the chance to work at this dream job because it is an internship for graduate nurses only. Not licensed rn's. After passing boards I will not be considered a graduate nurse...I will be considered a BSN. Passing boards is not a requirement to get hired into this job. Passing it within 60 days is the requirement.

I will not fail to meet the requirements of the school. I thought since my HESI score is already very high they might make an exception and allow me to miss this review course which is 1 month after graduating with my BSN

I am trying to be proactive. There is a 80% chance I will be offered this job and then I will have to figure this out. Why won't I get a chance at this job AFTER I pass my boards? Because this is a program for 12 graduate nurses. I won't be a graduate nurse after I pass my boards. Then I will be a BSN. A GN (graduate nurse) is one that has graduated from nursing school but not yet passed boards
