  1. I was 18 when I started.
  2. Thanks so much for the replies! Having a dryerase board to get everything scheduled sounds like a good idea. I think retyping notes will really help too it takes me forever to type so that will be a good way to study.
  3. Hi everyone, I am having trouble adjusting to some of my college classes that require a lot of studying. I haven't had to study much in my previous classes to get a good grade so my study habits aren't very good and I was just wondering if any of you out there had any advice on changing and developing good study habits. I have read some stuff on the internet but it would be nice to hear from someone who has actually been through it. Thanks so much for responding.:nuke:
  4. Thanks allieinaz It's nice to know that I'm not alone and there are other people feeling the same way.
  5. Hello, I am writing this partially to vent and also to ask for advice. I am a pre-nursing major and am still doing my prereqs. I am pretty good about studying and doing my homework in most of my classes but my Organic Chemistry is killing me! It is the class that I need to study for the most but for some reason I can't seem to get myself motivated to! :angryfire I really care a lot about school and want to do well so I don't know why I'm having such a hard time. Just wondering if anyone has any good tips for getting yourself motivated to study. Thanks to anyone who responds I know all you guys are going through the same things as me and it is nice to get feedback from people who truly understand what you're going through!:nuke:
  6. Hello all, First of all thank you to anyone who answers this post and gives me advice! I am doing the pre reqs for the nursing school at my college right now and have two questions I need answered: 1) To all you RNs out there would you recommend working as a CNA for awhile before becoming an RN? I have to wait 3 semesters to start my nursing classes after I apply since the wait list is so long and I'm wondering if I should get my CNA license while I'm waiting so I can get a head start on my healthcare career. 2) I was wondering what a job as a CNA entails. I have read many job explanations online but they are very general. I was wondering what specific things CNAs are allowed to do and what their typical work day was like.
  7. Hi, I am a pre nursing student and will be applying to the nursing program at my school next year. I was thinking that doing some kind of volunteer work at the hospital would help me when it is time to apply. I was wondering if anyone knows how to go about volunteering in a hospital. Thanks for any replies!!
