yeah, regarding the retrogression.. does it still apply to request for a working permits or the retrogression is only for those with green card applications? I heard the retro in the Philippines is gonna stretch for 2 years... but i want to know from the authorities and not just from hearsay. i already checked out the USCIS website.. any other suggestions?

yeah.. thats when i got confused.. i never heard about a packet from nybon before this. but my CGFNS NY state verification has already been issued i think since this february.. its been approved already so im just waiting as of the moment for my license but its been more than 3 months already. i guess i really have to call nybon then. thanks suzanne

i have already applied for license by endorsement in the new york state. i already sent my form 1 to nybon, my form 3 to vermont(for license verificatoin which was already received by nybon a few months ago) and my nystate certificate from cgfns was already issued. it was already complete a few months ago and everytime i called them they say its already for evaluation and my license should be ready in a few weeks. so i thought it was all set and i only had to wait.. but now a friend of mine told me that all the applications were on hold for march 2006 graduates due to the june 2006 board exam. and i had to photocopy my passport indicating that i never took the board exam in the philippines at all. i was already in new york by may 2, 2006.. so thats not a problem. he also told me that i still had to request a packet from nybon to be able to file for endorsement.. im confused cause i thought i already sent the necessary documents to nybon. now, im already in the philippines and im having problem contacting nybon but sometime next week i will really make time for it. i just wanna ask whether the nybon really does have packets (for request) that they do not post on their website? im confused right now.. i emailed nybon and i still had to wait 3-4 weeks before i get a reply. could you help me out?

wow, that's a long time.. so wen does your license expire(from the date of issuance)?

hi, i have am a registered nurse for the vermont state.. though i dont have any intention of working there, i am currently applying for an endorsement for the new york state.. so back to my vermont license.. it expires on march 30,2007.. i dont wish to pay for the renewal but i dont want to lose my license there either (so i have more options in the future) so i was planning to put it in an "inactive" status.. wat exactly does an inactive status mean?

i apologize for my choice of words. i tend to use reciprocity instead of endorsement. :uhoh21: dont get me wrong, i did my own research too.. i already applied for credentials verification for the new york state from cgfns last june and when i followed up on my application a few weeks ago, they said its up for review already.. so with all that.. any idea on how long it'll take? thankshu

hey.. i found this thread very informative and a bit confusing at the same time.. i recently got my licence form vermont state.. i just passed the exam this november. and i originally wanted to apply for endorsement for the new jersey state.. but when i downloaded the form for endorsement for nj state.. it states that they need social security number.. since i am just staying in the states as a tourist, its apparent that i cant have a ssn #.. so i found an agency from new york that would sponsor me and applied for the NY BON instead since i already applied for CGFNS verification for the new york state about 4 months ago.. i really like new jersey but i guess it'll have to wait.. right now, m still waiting on my new york license.. hopefully i wont be waiting too long for it.. does someone here know what the time frame is for NYBON license via endorsement? thanks!

this is their website...Vermont Secretary of State - Contact Us m not sure which of the email addresses you should email.. cause i only receive receipts via mail. never thru email. but i do call them in this number 802-828-2396... wat i like about calling the vermont BON is that they dont put you on hold on the time. they're usually very helpful and friendly. good luck

i dunno.. i have to admit, the philpost does have a not-so-honest reputation.. maybe because of the set of mind that anything coming from the US has included dollars in it.. it usually doesnt get to where it's supposed to end up. i once sent my request for transcript to the philippines via regular mail.. and its been 3 months and my family still hasnt received it yet... i had to send another form to them thru fed-ex.. oh well, i guess you just have to check on them thru phone.. though i didnt have that problem cause when i applied for vermont state, i was in the US that time and i got their mail instantly. good luck
