  1. I am also in a situation that the management requires 1 nurse to do the work of 2 if one is sick or has a family emergency. Management has stated that we will NOT have any more staff nurses to fill in. If this happens to me again, I want to refuse to do the 2nd nurses job, but what kind of trouble will I be in. I think this may be the answer, do we have the guts to do it? Bird
  2. I am so sorry for your terrible start, but you will be a great nurse as you know now, how "not" to treat others. We need you in Nashville, we have a great team here and are having a hard time finding people like you. Our Nurses are very kind, I have been here one year and was treated great, I in turn am very happy for any additions we get to our staff. We are very happy when we get a new team member. We are looking for a good LPN if anyone knows someone. Hang On Your Getting Stronger
  3. Hi, I am an LPN and I was told that I just need to use common sence when a person needs benadryl and give it even though the person has no order for this. Some of the Nurses where I work have done this, I have refused because I have been taught that no meds are given without an order over the counter or not. I was told by a 3rd party that this is what the house doctor said. Thanks, NO COMMON SENSE
  4. I would rather work 8 hour shifts and have a good week all week instead of 2 or 3 good days and the rest I am beat! When you work 12 hours and have to stay over it is the pits. And when you need 2 days off that is 24 hours! I want to go back to eight and have every day be a good day.
