  1. We also turn a couple of hours out of PACU.
  2. Large acute care hospital. Primary nurse transcribes all orders, secretary puts in the computer labs, xrays,etc, then primary co-signs that. More time away from the bedside!
  3. Just to let you know-I lost round one. HR said "we have fullfilled the ot requirement" by paying time and half on the extra day. I asked where I could find the policy and was told that there wasn't one specific to this. By asking this, I'm hoping it put a bug in their ear that I may be pursing this with the Labor Board, which I intend to do. Thanks for the address.
  4. If staffing is particularly poor- call back pay(time and half) is offered for that day. I did this on Sunday. On Wednesday, I was then on my sixth 8 hr day. We are payed over time for anything over 40 hours. Now, they are telling me I won't be paid OT for that Wed. because I got OT for that Sunday. You with me? I don't get it. What does one have to do with the other? Anyone have similar pay options?
