    I would say the only reason to hold the heparin gtt would be because of bleeding and that is why they are transfusing blood. Need more info....

    I might be going to Duke ER 1st of January. Is there anything I should know? They seem pretty desperate. I'm kind of scared. Also, do they let their travelers take care of traumas? So far I have had no luck with being able to take care of trauma as a traveling nurse. They leave it all for staff. KeeKee

    Kim, I started traveling with only 1 year experience and have had no trouble at all. I'm an ER nurse and also worked as a tech in the ER prior to becoming a nurse. Actually, I feel my job as a traveler is easier then it was at home as a staff nurse. Go for it, nursing is nursing no matter where you go. Good Luck! KeeKee24
