  1. First off Congrats on the job - I graduated 2 yrs ago and started on a tele unit which gets a bit of everything including stroke pts. You will do fine. It's scary starting out, ask questions and don't be too vocal as you start out. Watch, listen and learn. Find supportive coworkers and accept that you won't know everything starting out - no one expects you to, but you will learn and become a great nurse!
  2. I'm supposed to take my test tomorrow and I'm in a bit of a panic. I'm not sure I know anything. My stomach is a boiling knot. I know I'm not supposed to be studying today but what am I suppose to do??? I guess I have to keep telling myself that this time tomorrow it will be over one way or the other and go on from there. (but that's not really helping)
  3. Meds publishing live NCLEX review (4 days)
  4. Guess I need to revise my plan - I used the NCLEX books thru my nursing classes to help me study and without a doubt I did better because of them. My school "strongly" recommended the Meds review - so I will be attending that. I planned on using all these resources to avoid feeling foolish. . . too late. I'm feeling pretty foolish at the moment.
  5. Hoping to test in early July. I have several NCLEX books and will be taking a Meds Publishing live NCLEX review next week. I will absolutely be following Suzannes plan!!! I am also trying to do a minimum of 100 questions a day or 500/week. I'm trying to create a spread sheet that lists my scores so I can focus on weak areas.
  6. lizzy - it was weird reading your posting since you described exactly how I've been feeling. Thank goodness I'm starting spring break now. Much needed but I'll spend the entire time getting caught up and prepping for finals. I seriously wonder if these tests are designed to test our comprehension or whittle away at any spare confidence we still may have. I just put a calendar on my desktop that counts down the days. Maybe that will help. I've lost a lot of friends and some more are in danger now. I've been really pushing hard and am still safe but ya never know. . .
  7. Ouch, anything below a 79 is failing at my school
