  1. I am in Perry County. I had a meeting last week with the woman in charge of wia here and the first step is to get accepted to the lpn program and then go from there. She is very nice and willing to help but I know that we are just over the income limit. I will quit my job if I do start schooling because the hours that are available there just won't work with the hours of schooling. So I know that our income will change once I start. This is all just very scarry to me. It takes two incomes around here to make ends meet and even though becoming an lpn will help us in the long run, I'm just afraid that without financial assistance we won't be able to pay for the tuition. Thanks for the advice and it's nice to talk to people who understand.
  2. I am a 25 year old married woman. I would love to become a lpn. I have no children so with only having two people in my household, our income is just over the limit for financial aid. It is my dream to become a nurse and for the first time I feel that I am commited to this dream except that my husband and I can not afford to pay for the tuition on our own. Without financial aid, I am afraid that this will never happen. I currently work at a residential facility in which I care for the mentally disabled. Unfortunately this is a low paying job and they do not do tuition reimbursment. I plan to attend a full time lpn program which i will graduate in ten months. This is the quickest and cheapest way of going about this. Can anyone give me any advice on financial aid, scholarships, grants, anything that could help me with this. Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks
