Change in Marital Status During NCLEX Application
I was wondering about this myself. They could save themselves the difficulties of going through an annulment (not to mention the costs and time). Things are becoming clearer now though. They both consulted a psychiatrist and the shrink found out that the wife had an onset of a sociopathic personality in the course of their relationship apparently due to a traumatic childhood (abandoned, battered and abused child). This would mean that they can no longer be together now though unless the husband is willing to go through a world of pain and sacrifices. The shrink advised the husband to look for another woman now because he'll only be betrayed and hurt a lot if he decides to continue the relationship. Sad, sad story. They used to be the image of the perfect couple until the recent unfortunate chain of events. If a person is diagnosed as having an anti-social personality disorder or sociopathic personality, would she be denied entry to work in the USA as a nurse?

Change in Marital Status During NCLEX Application
Thanks Suzanne! As a friend who's known both for a many years now, their relationship is getting to me and driving me bonkers because I'm totally sure that they are meant for each other and totally love each other. Their marriage is only going through the loops because the wife is under major depression is suddenly demanded annulment. LOL

Change in Marital Status During NCLEX Application
Ok just talked to my friends who are in a marriage crisis. And well... this is gonna sound weird and stupid. They said they are planning to pursue an annulment but they are going to start all over again immediately afterwards because they love each other. So there is a strong possibility that they will remarry again soon. If they remarry before filing I140 applications, their status will count as married right? Will records indicating married -> single -> married in the span of a year or two be held against them?

Change in Marital Status During NCLEX Application
Thanks! You have been a great help. Just a clarification though: If their marriage is already annulled, can they even go to the US at the same time and work together? Suppose one of them is called to work first due to an employer having only selected that person, the second has to stay behind until called in right (probably by another hospital/facility or in another city)?

Change in Marital Status During NCLEX Application
Hi! I have 2 friends (married to each other) who both applied to the California BON just last month to sit for the NCLEX exam. The problem now is that they are having marital troubles and will probably result in an annulment of their marriage. I'm wondering what the procedures are for such situations and if there will be some adverse effects on their applications. They also assert that they still want to go to the US together though despite their current troubles. Is it possible for them to go together and work in the same hospital/facility or at least the same city if their marriage is annulled? Thanks

Solve the retrogression NOW or NEVER. ACT NOW or let retrogression continue for ever.
interestingly enough, the first unsavory posts in this thread came from yourself. all other prior posts were written respectfully. and your posts in question are now edited (lol). perhaps you edited them for fear of repercussions when you are now suddenly changing your tune? by your logic, since you were in the position of the person who is 'attacking', the other posters were merely responding to your 'crap'. hmm? ps. are you really from china as specified in your location? if you are, isn't freedom of speech already curtailed over there?

@Mcse Imo you certainly need a time off off this thread. Your posts come across as rude and sarcastic and only serve to fan the flames. We certainly need none of that when discussing an already touchy subject. @Maxpittboy I would suggest you go back and read Suzanne's posts in other threads before you come in and bash her. She has repeatedly helped foreign nurses and is definitely not 'anti-foreign' as you put it. You owe her an apology for she only possesses opinions that serve USA nursing's best interests, which I myself agree with. And yeah, I'm one of those nurses also caught in the retrogression.
