  1. Thank you very much for the info fleour. You're such a big help. :)
  2. Hi Fleour, thank you for the feedback. I'm also from Mindanao specifically in General Santos but currently working here in abu dhabi. can you please give me the email address of US embassy Manila? Actually I was about to give up my US dream when my employer abandoned my petition but my friends in the US are forcing me to push through my application. God bless us all...
  3. hi, I would like to know if someone has given a visa without nclex in US embassy Manila. my PD is 14 April 2006, no nclex and no employer. I opted not to take nclex because my employer told me to take it upon arrival in the US. I was only informed that my petition was abandoned late last year... so sad. I'm now working here in Abu Dhabi...
  4. I passed the moh exam conducted by moh uae here in the philippines last week. does that mean am already a licensed nurse in uae? I have only 1 year and 2mos hospital experience but they allowed me to take the exam, some has no hospital experience. The employer is from fujairah, uae and my interview is tomorrow (January 25), hope I can make it.... Btw, if I'll go in uae as tourist, what is my chance of getting a nursing job? thank you
  5. I need your advice guys....I was about to apply the study and work program in UK (I'm going to work part time as caregiver then the study program will last for 3years). The agency told me that I can work 35 hours per week and can do overtime. My friend in UK said that if I'll go there under student visa, I will be allowed to work 20 hours per week only and will only receive 5-6 pounds per hour. My salary as a caregiver would not be enough to support my expenses there...He suggested not to pursue my plan of going to UK under the student and work program. I inquired also in one of the agencies offering student visa for australia (study and work). The agency was requiring me to undergo a 3months training here in the Philippines (aged care) and the tuition for 3 months training is 309,000 php (excluded the visa and other expenses), plus a show money amounting 1.7million php. I'm going to study for 2 years in australia (aged care) then will work as a caregiver (20hours per week). The tuition fee for the 2 year course is more than 600,000pesos. Actually, I already paid 10,000php for the reservation fee. I was about to start the training when my friend from NZ called me and said that it's not worth it...She adviced me to go to NZ as tourist rather than accepting the offer of the agency for australia....My friend told me that there are plenty of available jobs in NZ but if I'll go there as tourist, there is still no assurance that I will be given a work permit. It's still matter of luck and prayers... I'm really confuse and do not know what to do... I am a nurse by profession and been waiting for my US visa for almost 4 years now. I'm afraid that I will end up in middle east but if I have no other choice, why not? I have the funds but still very difficult to go to oz or nz.....I hope somebody can enlighten me...thank you....
  6. my pd isn't current yet (pd april 2006)
  7. we just received notice that we may only be able to file your forms and nbi certificate before the end of june. will you please update me as to the status of them? if you want me to make the updates to the forms, please e-mail me what they are and i will make them right away and send the forms back to you. just wanna share the email that i received from my lawyer. i am just wondering why the nvc is now setting a deadline. for what? there's no visa available right?
  8. What's your pd? I agree with you...everybody who has a current pd is now required to submit an updated ds230 and new nbi clearance. yes, we need to wait for instruction/s from our lawyers and wait for our cases to be completed for the third time, hehehehe...
  9. I called up the nvc last thursday night and got this message "your lawyer will get an update within 90 days"...I made another call last night (friday night) and the voice prompt changed....I got this message (not the exact words but it goes like this) " some documents are missing, a letter of instruction was sent to your lawyer dated july 07. once we received the documents, give us 6-8 weeks to review your case". why 2007? Anybody here who has the same case with me? I don't know if this is a good news or not, since some documents are missing. these documents may pertain to ds230, nbi, and etc...
  10. sorry for the wrong info, her pd is nov '05...:)
  11. My friend's pd is now current too (nov 06). she was asked by our lawyer to submit a new ds230 forms and photos. I do not know if our lawyer has already received the request from nvc. I'll ask her with regards to this matter, then I'll update you....I agree, lawyers are sometimes moody, but they should be nice because they are paid, hehehehhe....
  12. Sorry, haven't seen your location earlier....hehehehhe....now I know that you're from UK...goodluck!
  13. Congrats! from what country are you? just wondering because if we're going to base your pd to the vb, it isn't current yet, right?....this must be a miracle!:yeah:God has granted all your prayers, I'm happy for you...you're long wait is over and you're about to reap the fruit of your labor....
  14. how are you guys? this thread has been dead for quite sometime...am glad we're back :)...God bless us all!
  15. Hi, I don't have my visa yet. yes, we are affected by retro. what's your PD? my PD is april 2006. Lets not lose our hopes, I know a bright future is waiting ahead of us...God bless...
  16. my case at nvc is now complete. I submitted the missing document (passport) first week of august and my case was completed on august 15...God bless us all!
  17. Same here, my passport will expire on 2010. My lawyer is wondering why the NVC is asking for a new copy of my passport. My lawyer said, maybe the operator gave me wrong information because it happens sometimes. So, we are just waiting for the letter to arrive to confirm what document/s is/are missing. I was planning to send a copy of my passport to my lawyer today, but she said she has already a copy of it. Yes, we should not give up. The best thing to do is to comply what they ask. When I found out that my case isn't complete yet because some documents are missing, I was so frustrated. Due to my frustration, I wasn't able to sleep the whole night and at around 5am (tuesday) I went to the park and had jogging. The last time I did this was many years ago when I was depressed too...hehehehe....Lets stay positive. I know everything will turn out well and all of our sacrifices will be paid off soon...God bless us all!
  18. Hi connie...Yup, I asked the operator and she told me that the only missing document is a photocopy of my passport. A letter was sent to my lawyer on July 23, so my lawyer is expecting to have it this week or anytime next week. I am just wondering because my passport will expire on 2010 and why they are asking for a new copy...my lawyer said, sometimes the operator gives wrong informations. Last tuesday, I emailed my lawyer asking the status of my papers at NVC. She told me that my case is already complete, but I was in doubt. I was so anxious that morning (3am) and I was not able to sleep the whole night. To stop my worries, I decided to call the NVC, and I found out that my case wouldn't be completed because some documents are missing (I just followed the voice prompt). I was so frustrated because she lied to me . I informed her about what I discovered and she told me "well, lets just wait for the letter to arrive and see what documents are missing". Last night, I decided to call the NVC again. I tried calling for about 10 times before my call gets connected and I waited for more than 10 minutes before I was able to talk with the operator. I will just inform you guys once my lawyer receives the letter.
  19. I called up the nvc few minutes ago. i waited for more than 10 minutes before i was able to talk with the operator. the only document that is missing is my passport. my friend and I have our cases completed last year. this year, she was only asked to submit an updated ds230 and her case was completed few weeks ago. Why she wasn't asked to submit her other documents? it's really unfair but we have nothing to do about it...sigh!!!God bless everyone..
  20. Hello Mariel, we have the same problem. my documents (ds230 and nbi clearace) was received by nvc on july 12, 2007. I called up the nvc last tuesday morning (around 3am) and I found out that my case isn't complete yet because some documents are missing. I am really frustrated because I was expecting to have my case completed this week. My lawyer told me that the NVC was only asking for an updated ds230 and nbi clearance. I submitted what they were asking, how come that some documents are still missing. hope all of these trials will end soon...sigh!!!!!!!!!!!
  21. We have the same sentiments guys...case completed last year but asked to submit an updated ds230. My lawyer received the request for packet 3 from NVC last june 27. I sent my updated ds230 and nbi clearance to my lawyer, Saturday of last week (June 30). My lawyer confirmed that she received my documents last July 3. Since July 4 was holiday in the US, my documents were sent to NVC last thursday (July 5). I'm going to call the NVC next week to know the status of my application. I'll just update you here guys. My PD is April 2006....
  22. I really don't know what's goin' on. Kindly read this article my fellow nurses. July Visa Bulletin to be revised? Please be advised that AILA, the American Immigration Lawyers Association, has just released the following announcement. "We are hearing from multiple sources that, on Monday or Tuesday of next week, State Department plans to issue a revised Visa Bulletin for July 2007. This revised Bulletin would retrogress some or all of the employment-based categories, very likely to the point of unavailable. Reports from AILA members about unusual levels and types of activities by USCIS indicate a particular push to adjudicate employment-based adjustments currently in the pipeline so as to exhaust visa numbers for fiscal year 2007. This follows the actions of USCIS in June, when it began rejecting EB-3 "Other Worker" adjustment applications even though the Visa Bulletin showed an October 2001 cut-off date, on the basis that the "Other Worker" numbers for the year had been exhausted." If this is accurate, Adjustment of Status cases (I-485 cases) filed in July will all be rejected and returned to us and no AOS (I-485 cases) could be filed in July. It would also effectively cancel all Immigrant Visa appointments at US Consulates. We will provide further updates as they become available.
  23. The NVC has received your e-mail inquiry. We are currently processing in the order of receipt. Thank you for your patience. National Visa Center I got this email from NVC also, I do not know if this is a good news or what. The last time I emailed the NVC was 3 weeks ago, so I am wondering why they sent me this message. My lawyer received the request from NVC the other day. Then, my lawyer sent my ds230 today via email. All I have to do is to print it out and sign it (it was filled out already by my lawyer). I'm gonna send it tomorrow via fedex. Good luck to all of us guys, hope we wont be caught again by the incoming retro. sigh!!!
  24. this is the latest email that i got from my lawyer. it seems that she is already irritated because i keep on sending her an email everyday. hehehehe... monroe, i have continued to explain to you. every case is different!!!!!!!!!!! please keep these comments to you self. i do not need to hear these comments about what is going on with your friends case and i do not have time to respond to your emails about this because i am working on many other nurse cases including yours. now, i received a response from the nvc by email that we need to re-submit your ds 230 form again, however until i have received the request from the nvc by mail we cannot send in the ds 230 form again. you need to wait until i receive the request from nvc by mail before we send anything in. your nbi certification expires after july 18, 2007. you may have an interview before that date or it may be scheduled after that date. if it is scheduled after that date you must get a new nbi clearance. we have not heard about needing new updated police clearances and your passport does not expire until 2010. so don't worry about the police clearances, photos or passport until we hear anything further. i have attached your ds 230 form. please inform me of any changes that need to be made on the form via email.
  25. hi fruity, your packet3 has been approved already right? I am really confuse right now. my lawyer did not ask me to submit any documents. this is the new email that I received from her.... Hi Monroe, I emailed a letter to the NVC today regarding the I-864 form and also to schedule you an interview in Manila. When I hear back I will let you know.
