I'm so new to this, so forgive me if I am asking questions that have already been asked or if I'm posting in the wrong area. My reserve unit has offered to retrain me as a 91wM6(Army LPN). I want to know what civilian employers think of the Army's LPN education. Would you hire one? Has anyone in the Chicagoland OR Urbana area gone through this program? If so, how has it worked? Also, IF I go to this program, when I come home, my husband will be half way through Law School at U of I(We live in Chicago now, we would move there and then move back here...or wherever they pay him the big bucks) I already know that I wouldn't want to be an LPN forever, as I have read rumors that they will be phasing out, so I am curious about these bridge programs. Is driving to Danville to big of a stretch from Urbana? How were the ADN programs around that area? Mostly, you guys are already what I want to be, an R.N....SO do you have any advice? Feel free to PM me or write back here! Thanks!
