  1. Hi, I'm in the process of applying through UCAS for a Nursing degree in England (not Scotland or Wales) as i'm Irish and i don't qualify for a bursary for these areas. I'm a bit confused about what college to apply for as i'm not familiar with the UK. So far i've selected Manchester, Liverpool, Northhampton, Southhampton and Brighton as i can get home easily from these colleges. Does anyone have any good/bad experiences here or could recommend another uni?? I want to stay out of London just because of the expense as i'm a mature student (26) and i'll be funding things myself. I'm also in the middle of writing my personal statement. Any advice on this would be good too. Thanks a mill, this is a great forum to find, shorain :)
  2. Hi, I hope to study for a BSc. Nursing degree in the UK & i was thinking about London among other places. I've know very little about the city. What are the top colleges in London for Nursing or can anyone offer advice about the city regards accomodation good spots & bad spots etc. As im an EU student (Irish) i'll be paying fees privately so I hope to work part-time as well. Is this possible as I know London is expensive or should i consider other UK cities?? any advice appreciated!! thanks :)
  3. hi anna, thanks for that, im mainly interested in Swansea, Cardiff or maybe Bangor universities if anyone has experienced those. i am in the process of checking out if the qualifications from the UK are valid to work in Ireland, overseas etc.
  4. Hi, I was wondering if anyone could give me advice about training as a General Nurse in the UK.I'm from Ireland with a degree already in a totally unrealted area. I don't mind paying fees as i'd have to do it here but the course is only 3years in the UK hence the interest! I've been looking through the UCAS website for universities where you can do your training but i'd love some first hand experiences! Location wise i'd prefer somewhere around Wales but i'd consider other locations too. Thanks a mill :wink2: shorain
