  1. Yes, I've heard about Child Status Protection Act. Here are some links http://www.visalaw.com/02jul4/12jul402.html. http://www.hooyou.com/i140&i485/ageout.html And here are some rules regarding employment based "* Children of persons applying for employment-based and lottery-based green cards - For children of employment-based green card applicants and lottery-based applicants, the age of the child minus the adjudication time of the employment-based immigrant petition at the time a visa number becomes available for the parent is the age used for determining whether the child is eligible for the green card as an under 21 year old child. But to take advantage of this, the child actually must seek to acquire the green card within a year of the visa becoming available. " What do you think is the best thing to do? Writing to NVC or to the consul at the embassy reminding about the law?
  2. I hope somebody would answer my question. Since we are still in retrogression, I am worried that my son would age out the petition requirement. This is the situation, my son already 20 yrs and 4 mos. might be overage if the visa bulletin of my PD August 2006 would not be current within this year. I was also documentarily qualified last August, 2007. So what is the best thing to do so as he would not be age out status?
  3. another rumor????
  4. Yes, khirbz I'm still in the Philippines and just completed all my documents this april, Anyway I am not in a hurry and I am very optimistic that retrogression will be lifted soon.
  5. Yes, I understand since I will submit first to my relative then they will mail it in States once retrogression was lifted. Any way, NVC has already wrote me a letter that they have received my visa fee last january and instructed me. I understand that retrogression started last November, 2006 and very hopeful that it will be lifted. Thank you
  6. Hi suzanne4,Thanks for your reply. So, I should put the names of my family members on box item 21a of the DS230. I just want to be sure once retro is lifted. Thanks a lot:icon_hug::kiss
  7. Hi rozmaril and precy, Sorry for the delay of the reply. Anyway, PD is August, 2006, I-140 approved, October, 2006, Visa Fee Bill generated by NVC (including family members) November, 2006; Visa Fee Bill paid. December, 2006. As I have said I am in the process of filling up of my DS230 inspite of retrogression but I am optimistic it will be lifted soon. Thanks for asking.
  8. Hi rossario, Thanks a lot for your input, I will put all my family members in item 21a.:icon_hug::kiss I hope suzanne or lawrence could reply with my inquiry
  9. Hi everybody, I just want somebody to help me in my DS230 form. I am already in packet 3 and already paid my Visa fee bill for me and my family and I'm in the process of filling up my DS230. I hope somebody will answer my inquiries as follows: 1. regarding item no. 21a shall I put all my family members?Because I intend to go to the US first then within 6 mos. my family will follow? "21a. Person(s) named in 14 and 19 who will accompany you to the United States now." 2. Or shall I put my family members name in this box. Will it affect the issuance of their visa if I will put them on a later date? "21b. Person(s) named in 14 and 19 who will follow you to the United States at a later date" HOPE SOMEBODY COULD HELP ME OR ARE IN THE SAME SITUATION AS I AM.
  10. Hi suzanne4, Thank you for the reply. So it means that once you have a green card you can go back and forth to US. But for how long would you stay outside US?
  11. Hi, I am just wondering 1) How long does your employer will give you a green card once you arrive in the US? 2) Can a family member who is a dependent with your greencard can go home to the Phil. even though his/her passport is stamped with only I-551 without any greencard? 3) Do the family member should apply for a Advance Parole (I-131) form? 4) If you and your family have received an immigrant visa from the embassy of origin and given 6 mos. allowance to go to the US, could it be possible for the nurse recruit to go first then after 4-5 mos. your family would follow? Hope someone could reply with my inquiry. Thank You
  12. You know Ann-RN, that surgeon does not know what he is doing. He is showing signs of displacement by becoming a terror and focus his shortcomings by blaming others. Maybe (I hope not) he has a lot of morbidity or mortality with his patients. A good surgeon has a cool head and is relax during operations even complicated ones. well I am not a judge but I suggest make an incident report and submit it to your supervisor or chief nurse. If nothing happens submit it to the medical director. Remember not all surgeons are like that, most of them are sensitive or humane enough to others especially with their co-workers.
