  1. I honestly do not know, but since nobody here will answer you i will say How Does a Nurse become a CRNA? A nurse attends an accredited nurse anesthesia education program to receive an extensive education in anesthesia. Upon graduation, the nurse must pass a national certification exam to become a CRNA. I think the word NATIONAL means nation wide certification, but im guessing u will have to pay a fee for the liscence switch.
  2. I Have Been Researching These Topics For The Last Few Days And I Thought I Might Be Able To Receive Someones Personal Knowledge By Posting A Few Of My Questions In This Crna Forum. Apparently You Men And Women Do Not Know How To Answer Questions. If Somone Asks Me A Question, I Do My Best To Answer Them With What I Know. How Would You Like It If You Went To The Bank And Asked The Teller For $500 In $20's And She Gives You A Coconut And Asks You What Ur Plans Are For The Fourth Of July?
  3. Are you kidding me? Are you adding fuel to the fire? look at my question. Read my posts again. I want information period!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  4. I had this topic up for one whole day and only one reply. LOL
  5. WOW, does anyone know anything? Do CRNAs even care about the future of anesthesia? I can hardly believe this.. Might as well close this thread. Getting CRNA information from a CRNA forum is like trying to pull a bag of gold out of a lobster's behind.
  6. 100k LOL You can get a job right out of school making 200k a year in many places, including New York. Check www.gaswork.com
  7. From the information i have, 13 states have elected to OPT-OUT. Does anyone know what other Governors are interested? What do you think will happen for the CRNA if a democrat is elected for President in the next term? If all 50 states chose to OPT-OUT, what would this mean for the CRNA practice and how will it effect the MDA?
  8. Thanks Pain Doc, thats the kind of answer i was looking for. Does anyone else have any input in this matter? I am really interested in hearing everyone's ideas. Docs and CRNAS Please post your thoughts.
  9. I know there is no such thing as a practical nurse anesthetist!! I was thinking of future possibilities with the Nurse Anesthetist's expanded scope of practice. Sounds like the CRNA's here say no chance of ever becoming like an MDA or being as equals or even close to it! If this is true then i suppose CRNA's will never have a salary like an MDA!! What do you see in the FUTURE?????????????
  10. Thanks, does anyone else have any insight into this? Is it possible for the Board of Nursing to create, a Certified Practical Nurse Anesthetist to assist the the CRNA as the MDA's have the AA
  11. Does anyone in here think that in the near future CRNA's could possibly make equal wages with MDA's due to the recent development of the OPT-OUT states??? In either case, what do you think some of the possibilities are for the CRNA and the MDA in 5, 10, or 20 years down the road?
