  1. Good advice... I am a new grad starting in the PICU in a week... I am so nervous. Thanks, Stefanie
  2. I PASSED!!!!!! Wow, that was not fun... the waiting was nearly as bad as the NCLEX itself. I did the quick results with Pearson, and had to hold my breath when I entered my info. Thank you for your encouragement. I am a REAL nurse now!!!!! :balloons:
  3. Hello, I have been reading the discussions, not posting a lot, but do appreciate everyone's advice. I took my first NCLEX yesterday, and have been crying all day today. I just know I failed. I have looked up about 20 questions, and I missed them all. I know some of them can be pilot questions, but what if there were all 'real' questions? I felt good about five, I repeat, FIVE answers.... I just hope that the five I felt good about were not pilot questions. I find out my results tomorrow - I hope. I already have a job, and if I don't pass, I lose it - it was a very competitive job to get, a lot of applicants, and I thought I was so lucky to get it.. now it may be slipping through my fingers! Any advise on statistics of how many passed/failed with only 75 questions? (I know it may not make a difference, but I am freaking out here). The questions were all hard for me, with the exception of a handful of easy ones.. it could be because I was nervous or not prepared, but I took Kaplan and scored high, my exit hesi was a high score, and my nursing GPA was a 3.7. Thanks, Stefanie:crying2: :crying2:
  4. Thank you so much for the information. You were able to take the test four times? We can't do that here... but our score has to be an 850, so I guess I am lucky in that aspect. I just noticed that you are from Chicago.... man, am I JEALOUS!!! We plan to move to Chicago within the next couple of years. I am actually coming to Chicago with my hubby and child for New Year's Eve... we just LOVE it there. Thanks again, Stefanie
  5. We were able to get the book by going to a major book store in the medical center of Houston, Texas (Majors, is the name). Some other students ordered it from a ecampus (I think) and paid for overnight shipping. It is a good book, however, I have not taken my exit HESI ,yet, and I am scared out of my mind. We only get three attempts, have to make an 850. I have been studying the HESI book and doing tests on the CD, and my scores have been between 66 to 85... I am FREAKED. My exam is on the 4th, please, please, (I know you don't know me) pray for me, keep me in your thoughts... I need to pass this test. Stefanie
