I am so glad that I am not the only one who feels that way!! I come home off of a 12-hour shift and I literally hit the floor or couch if I'm lucky. On my days off I feel so tired. My stress level is so high all of the time! I thought that after I got out of school I would have the chance to actually have a life!! I have 3 weeks left on my residency and my stress levels are rising instead of falling. I just can't seem to shake this feeling of fear and dread!!

I am a new grad in a busy, primary care cardiac unit. Although I love new challenges, I am finding it difficult to keep up with the pace of the unit. My charting always suffers in order to provide the best patient care. I always feel like I am forgeting something, and sometimes I do!! My preceptor has 2 preceptees and she has let me loose on my own. This preceptorship has gone by so fast and I have only 3 more weeks left!! I am scared that I will make a mistake that will compromise my patients and my license. Maybe I am just paranoid. During my shifts, I run so hard that I barely get to eat lunch during a 12-hr shift and I still feel like I am majorly behind. Will I ever catch up? I believe it is better to be slow and safe than fast and unsafe. But, my slowness is making things so difficult!! I am so frustrated.

I passed!!! It took a week and a half to find out. I am so relieved.

I passed! I found out Saturday morning. I talked to the BON on Friday and they said that there was some problem with paperwork and that is why it took so long. Good luck to everyone who is waiting for their results!!! Thanks for all of the support.

Yep. I did well on the diagnostic and readiness test. According to Kaplan, I was ready to pass the NCLEX. I hope I passed. The computer shut off at 75.

Still nothing as of this morning (Thursday). I'm thinking I must of failed the test. It has been 8 days.

Anyone else still waiting for their NCLEX results??

I feel your pain!!! I had to work today and went into the stairwell to cry. Everyone else seems to be getting their results except me. I called the BON and they told me nothing. They cannot release test results. I am so frustrated!

Has anyone heard today (Wednesday)? I am totally freaking out!!!

I am still waiting too!!! I called the BON and they said 2-3 weeks to find out results. The waiting is unbearable!!! I know people that took the test last Monday and found out Wednesday.

I took the NCLEX-RN in Gardena on 2/7/07 and I haven't heard anything as of today (Monday 2/12). I am hoping to hear tomorrow. Good luck to everyone who is waiting. California state is so darn slow!!!

I took my boards on Wednesday and am waiting for my results. I have heard that California can be slow. It is so difficult to wait!!! I start my job tomorrow under an interim permit. It would be terrible to find out I have failed and have to stop working.

I am new to this state and just took the NCLEX. My friends in Washington who took the NCLEX received their results in 1-2 days. The board of nursing says it could take from a few days to a month to receive my results. Does anyone know the average wait time in California??

Speaking of stethoscopes... when I was in nursing school, one of my nursing instructors told me that she was strangled by her own stethoscope by one of her patients. The patient was a older woman, with the appearance of a cute, little old grandmother. She asked my teacher to come closer, and closer, and closer to her. My teacher had her stethoscope hanging around her neck... The patient grabbed each end of the stethoscope with her hands, crossed the tubing, and pulled as hard as she could in opposite directions. My nursing instructor survived without punching her patient or anything. But wow!! Better think carefully before hanging your stethoscope around your neck!!!!!
