  1. I guess you could buy 'white' scrubs..; you can wear them just about ANYWHERE...; I wore white scrubs for YEARS after everyone 'color-coded' their depts, etc.. but finally gave up my 'whites', because ink stains, etc, are just too obvious on them, whereas with the colored scrubs.. they aren't nearly as noticeable..
  2. Funny you should mention 'join the Red Cross'..... I do THAT too..(volunteer Red Cross) on occasion; have worked one hurricane shelter... Stormy, RN (BSN for 16 years)
  3. Just curious.., but WHERE do you live?? We are so short of nurses here, that I can work all the Overtime that I can handle... since the hospitals here would rather pay us overtime, instead of paying the Agency to provide temp nurses....; I work a minimum of 48 hrs / week..., and occasionally will work from 56-60 hrs a week, in cardiac care. (FYI, I had wanted to be a nurse for as long as I can remember, because I truly CARE about people, and I do provide the caring, personal touch that my patients need...) Stormy BSN (1988)
