  1. Im working here in KSA now. For international nurses, there's no need for saudi exam. Employers here require you to have your valid PRC license and credentials / experience. Usually there is an exam ( english proficiency and nursing ) but its easy... If you want to go to KSA, and you are a female, better here in Jeddah because its not that strict like in Riyadh and/or other places in KSA. People here are more educated and civilized. You need to respect their culture and beliefs as well, especially their religion (Islam). But the good thing here is TAX-FREE and you can save! Fortunately my hospital is far better than the others here because I can have my vacation every 6 months and its ALL FREE! :)
  2. Well, Im bringing different stuff like lippincott (nursing practice) and other nursing care books, those were allowed but NCLEX - NO.. so stupid really. Actually, the hospital is for JCI accreditation and they just want us to concentrate and study the JCI manual and questions that the surveyors will ask...very defensive. Hmmm about staying here? I just want to venture out and have better opportunities in US. :studyowl:
  3. Hi, Just want to raise a question here. Im working now in a specialized area government hospital here in Saudi Arabia. God-willing, I will also take the NCLEX exam this December and pass . This is to have more opportunity and career wise to upgrade my status in my chosen profession. Normally, I bring my NCLEX book reviewer inside the unit. And during, my free time, im reading this book. Now, this supervisor called my attention and she said that NCLEX books are not allowed anymore inside the unit. I was shocked and just thinking why Nclex books (which helped me learn and update my skills) are now banned inside the unit. Is this appropriate action? hmmm.. give me your ideas on this.... thanks...
