Hi Everyone. I am tired of the lottery pools and waiting lists community schools have on LVN and RN programs. I've now decided to enroll in private schools which is pricey, but worth it at the end. I'm debating of either going to Unitek (san francisco) or Gurnick. Unitek takes 11 months and costs about 30k. Gurnick takes about 14-17 months and costs 23k. Besides the costs and length of the program, can anyone give me any opinions on the quality of these programs? So far, I've heard good things about Gurnick from people in the forum, but i have yet to hear something about unitek. Uniteks program is m-f 8hrs/day, while Gurnicks is m-f 5hrs/day. Do you guys think Unitek's program seem too compressed to the point where it could adversely affect learning? Also does anyone know the nclex-pn passing rate for gurnick? Thanks in advance!
