  1. Unfotunately, the position that I am applying for is in a different unit than I previously worked in. I wish it were that easy! I am really at a loss...
  2. I am a former employee of Northwestern, but moved out of state after one year. It is now 3 years later, and I have moved back to the Chicago area. I took a job at another Chicago hospital, but I am really unhappy there. I didn't apply to NMH at first when I moved back because of commuting issues. I am now desperate, and they have a job opening in the area I would love to work in. I sent in my resume but no cover letter. I got the stock email about them calling me if I matched any open positions. I haven't heard a word from them, and it has been over a month. The job opening is still posted online, so I am very confused. As a former employee, I know that they like to hire back people that used to work there. Do you think that not sending in a cover letter with my resume online was a problem?? What can I do now? Should I call HR? My good friend also works in the unit at NMH, and she has passed my name on to the night manager who said he would pass it on to the manager of the whole unit. Should I resubmit my resume with a cover letter for the same position?? Help...I am clueless.
