I am nearing completion of my RN to BSN at Chamberlain and it has been a very positive experience for me. NOTE: If you have been a nurse for several years you can do what they call a "portfolio" for your clinical classes and not have to do the clinicals. This was a deal sealer for me. I have been able to work full time and still do well in the program, which was a concern for me in the beginning. As far as RN to BSN programs go, I would highly suggest Chamberlain. I have found the classes to be interesting and flexible, and most of my instructors have been great. I will finish in June, and wish that they had a Masters program that I could move into, but as of yet they do not.

I am nearing completion of my RN to BSN program from Chamberlain College of Nursing. It is 100% online and I have been very satisfied. I am currently searching as you are for which MSN program to enroll in, because it gets more difficult to find a program online for your MSN, especially if you are going the NP route because of all of the clinical requirements. I am leaning towards Vanderbilt in Chatanooga, TN. THey have a modified online program for almost every specialty.

I have just finished my first semester at Chamberlain and I am very impressed so far. I enjoyed the classes and they were flexible around my schedule. I will be able to finish my RN-BSN by June and I just started the program 3 months ago. It is expensive, and I don't know that I could justify the cost if I wasn't planning to go straight into a ARNP program, because it would take a long time to pay back the loans based on the diference (If any) between and ASN and a BSn graduate. Part of the reason I am leaning towards Chamberlain RN-BSN is that you have to take far fewer classes than most of the other programs, and they give you a tremendous amount of credit for your RN... so the high cost is more than offset by the fewer number of classes...

I am a new member and love all of the good information, but I am having a hard time finding a concise list of RN to MSN programs (Verses getting a BSN first). If anyone has information on these types of programs (Including the cost if available) it would save me a tremendous amount of time in researching. It may already be on here.. so if anyone would like to steer my novice butt in the right direction that would be fine as well. I have requested information from all of the "big advertisers" but would like feedback from people who are actually in an RN-MSN program. Thanks so much. By the way, I am a 44 year old male that has been a nurse since 1985, and am suddenly getting "inspired" to do more due to opportunities within my company.
