  1. If the OP wanted the opinion of people who are not CRNAs or SRNAs im sure they would not have posts in the CRNA forum. Now, if you hate you job i suggest you quit. Staying in a job that makes you unhappy will lead to personal resentment as well as eventual degredation of your performance. As a CRNA you are well within the minority. A recent survey suggested that 95% of CRNAs love their job and would choose it over again.
  2. the choice is program specific Many programs accept ER experience as well. The location you work at (ICU and ER) is irrelevant. Its the QUALITY of experience that matters
  3. Be sure this will be a shadow of the CRNA profession. Canada MDAs are ANTI CRNA. They have been quoted as saying, in regards to CRNAs in Canada "We cannot make the same mistakes as our collegues (ASA) in the US". CRNAs in canada will be, essentially, AAs with little or no autonomy and meger wages.
