On May 16, Alisa Stewart-40 of Plano and Amy Wingfield-31 OF Celina were returning from lunch on a nice sunny day. When their white Ford SUV pulled up to their workplace: North Central Medical Center in McKinney, a man waited for them. From a field not far away from the parklot was a row of trees, where the man hid. With his .223 caliber rifle he took aim. He killed Amy with a shot to the head and wounded Alisa in the back. Then he left the seen. On Tuesday, Paul E. Wooley-46 was arrest for the assualt of the two Pediatric Nurses. Paul is a manic depressive and had a breakdown at his job. After the shooting he left for Amarillo and attempted suicide. He now is in Jail with a $300,000 bond awaiting his day in court. I ask all nurses on this forum to remember them. We shall honor both these nurses, who lost their lives... and their services. May the Force be with them...

Hello, fellow nurses! The other day, I was discussing "ER" with a fellow group of nurses,and most said that they do not watch any medical shows. Most stated that they get enough of it at work. And they also state that most of thes shows are not medical based. In fact, one LVN, stated that "General Hospital" was close enough for her. So, when you come from the job, and peel off the scrubs and clogs, do you kick back with Carter and crew or TLC's medical shows? old-master has spoken...

Feeling inferior is a better emotion than feeling superior with nothing to back it up. If you feel superior without the knowledge. (which I have seen.) and this can result in a screw-up and a mistake. And in our field, mistakes can led to death. So, relax. You will be there. I work with LVN's and they offer me help, and ask.
