  1. I went to my school, but wasn't able to talk to the Dean. The office secretary told me that they are just following the rule of the nursing schools association. She could not give me the exact association. I would like to ask if anyone knows such an association with that rule. THanks so much! If it were really indeed a policy of an organization which my school belongs to, why weren't we informed of such a rule ahead of time instead of just now when we will be asking for our files?Anyway, if anyone has info on this, please share..Thanks again..
  2. I graduated from a private school. Thanks for all your suggestions. I will first speak to my dean with regards to their policy. I would ask why we weren't informed earlier about this policy. I believe that we should have been informed of this from time we entered their institution.
  3. It doesn't mean that if I take the NCLEX now, I would be able to leave the country right after passing. From what I have read in the different forums here, it takes several months to yrs after passing NCLEX befor one eventually gets to work abroad. What I just want to do is take the test while I'm a fresh graduate. If I will be taking time off from studying, I might have a difficult to jumpstart my review for NCLEX. Right after NCLEX is when I will be working here in the Philippines. I've seen people working and reviewing for NCLEX at the same time and afterwards did not pass the NCLEX. They couldn't devote their time to studying alone or to working alone. I'm sorry, but I cannot state the school where I graduated from.
  4. Hello! I would like to seek an advice on this specific dilemma.I have just graduated last march recently took the board exam last June.My school would not like to fill up the necessary forms for my NCLEX application (Request for transcript etc).. The dean is requiring me to first have 1 yr experience here before they will fill up forms for NCLEX and send my TOR to the BON of the State where I am filing. Is there anyway to contest this so-called rule which most of us (my classmates) found out just now when we are applying for the said credentials. Do we have a rule here in the PHilippines that require us to have one yr experience before we can take the NCLEX? I am hoping someone could help me out with this problem. What do we have to do to be able to get our documents and file for NCLEX? Thank you very much.
  5. Thanks again! I'm relieved to know what you just posted...
  6. I have been reading other forums here with regards to New Mexico. I came upon this statement and I would like to clarify what this means: "Like in California, they need a valid and active license from the state that originally issued you your license to be able to apply for licensure by endorsement." Does this mean that I have to work first in New Mexico before I can practice nursing in California? Sorry, I don't quite understand this.I would really appreciate if someone could enlighten me on this. My plan is to file for the state of New Mexico for my NCLEX and yet work in California? Is this possible without working in New Mexico anymore? Is it possible that my first US nursing job would be in California? Thanks in advance!
  7. Thanks for the info! So basically that means I can practice in California or any state for that matter after passing the NCLEX?Have one more question, how long is the validity of the ATT for New Mexico? I have heard that it is very difficult to schedule an exam in HongKong nowadays. My att could expire before I could get a scheduled date for my NCLEX. Thanks again! :)
  8. Hello!! I have a question, I am not sure if this was already discussed previously.. If so, please take the time again to answer my question.I would really appreciate it. Is it possible for me to practice in California even if I will take my NCLEX for the state of New Mexico? I applied for New MExico because of the faster processing time. How do I go about with this? I was told that this is possible and it won't take long. Some are saying otherwise. Which is which? Hope someone could enlighten me on this? Thank you very much.
