yup, i'm from the philippines and i just started my application in june so i've been waiting for 4 months only.

@thestrella...nope, i'm still waiting for it...ny bon is also waiting for cvs before they can issue my license.

well, coz i have taken the CA NCLEX already, but i still dont have the license coz im still in the philippines..to get the license i must have the SSN first, and to get the SSN i should be in the US first...i know its complicated, me going to NY while my license is CA, well its more of personal reason you know, my soon to be wife is in NY thats why my destination is there...why did i take the CA boards? well, because i have my own applications back then and i thought im gonna get to the states earlier than expected but then the US has retrogression, no visa for filipino nurses, the process is running slow..so my girlfriend and i decided to process the petition so i can go to the US already...well that's my story..thanks silverdragon for asking and for the replies...God Bless.

thanks silverdragon for the reply...well i was just wondering if there is any way i can process it but if the best way is to go to the US first and get the SSN then i have no choice but to wait til i get there, ill be in the US in april...anyways, thank you so much for the infos, i really really appreciate it.

well thanks nursecubanita, anyway i have an immigrant visa already and will move to new york in april, im just processing my resignation from the hospital i am working with right now...thanks for the advice though.

may i know the process on getting my california license while im still here in the philippines? because they need sss number in order to acquire the license, and to have that sss number i should be in the US first right?...is there any other way to get the license? thanks in advance for your reply.

hi...i am a nurse from the Philippines and currently holding a California license. i am leaving for new york on April. can anyone help me on how to have my California license be changed to New York license so i can practice there as a registered nurse. is there any online processing that i can work on while i am still in the Philippines? sorry for this question but it's along story why i took the CA NCLEX when my destination is New York.
