  2. I fully understand your situation. I worked in a domination style work enviroment for several years. One thing that helped me alot is my devotion to Recovery Inc. It taught me you could put miles between you and the outer enviroment . My last boss was so bad his superior got fired for hiding all his bad deeds.I saw so many leave because of him but with my Recovery training I survived and actualy my mental health got alot better. Another thing we realize is we get better by the amount of nervous discomfort we bear.Another good one is if you cant change your atmosphere change your attitude .Feelings are meant to be expressed without temper(fear and anger) We often overlook the good we have done. I bet your just being there and standing up to the domination enviroment has made a effect. If you can find a local meeting(Recovery Inc.) I advise you attend and learn. Right now I am fighting a much bigger fight that I never dreamed I would ever face.By facing up to a bad work enviroment has strenghtened me for this task. Don't give up the patients need people like you to get them well.Learn this method and you will see. http://www.recovery-inc.org
  3. this is a recent case report of the syndrome involving a short term dose of propofol http://www.anesthesia-analgesia.org/cgi/content/abstract/100/6/1804
  4. I want to thank you for your interst in PRIS(propofol infusion syndrome). I have started a new post on the subject. It's to bad there hasn't been much movement by the FDA on a black box for this drug(propofol) for adults. At least the Europeons have got it right. Again I want to thank you. The more exposure on this complication can only help save more lives.
  5. This was just sent to me from the doctor I am working with to get the word out on PRIS. It might save one of your patients It is in the September 2006 critical care medicene.
  6. Here is a good case study of the PRIS . The doctor was not able to have this posted in our journal.I would like to know how many vistors to this topic were aware of PRIS . http://www.theannals.com/cgi/content/abstract/36/9/1453
  7. Im not looking for testimony in any lawsuit. My only desire is to make aware this problem. Money has no value to me, Im only looking for truth and to avoid this happening to another. There has been enough discusion how many more lives will it take before a black box for adults as well as children on this drug is mandatory.
  8. I am looking for nurses who have had first hand experince dealing with patients with the propofol infusion syndrome.
  9. Propofol should not be used for long term sedation. Few people know of this deadly drug reaction Many Europen countries know the truth about this very unpredicable drug. It's time to open honest discusion about it's shortcommings here.
