  1. hi happy for you . the best advise I can give is to go to work friendly be always seeking learning experences. Be humble older experenced ICU nurses will be more than happy to take you under their wing if they dont get the impression that you are a know it all. Big step to take as a new grad hope that they give you a fair orientation. good luck with your new job hope all works out for you:welcome:
  2. i've heard the same thing . that infection control would not want to swab all the nursing staff as we would all be positive. good question can't wait to find out if this is true
  3. hi I'm a canadian nurse and work in an Icu unit. We are in great need of nurses. Senior nurses like to have their holidays stats ect off so it only stands to reason that they should encourage and help our new nurses. We usually do not get brand new nurses in ICU (good idea to have at least a few years experience) but with that being said we do have one new nurse and thank god our manager is having him mentored for four months . We were all new nurses at one time in our lives so lets help out our younge ones:kiss
